Fg = Coursest powder- muskets w/ lg bore.
FFg = @nd Coursest- shotguns, rifles and pistols-,45cal. and up.
FFFg= Fine powder - .36 to .45 cal pistols/ rifles
FFFFg= very fine -used as primer in flashpan.
You will likely want FFg- I have used Pyrodex RS and Triple 7 in my .50 cal smoke pole.
The amount varies to much to say without more information.

That will depend on the caliber and the bullet weight. It could range anywhere from 60 grains to as much as 150 grains. Look at the owner's manual that came with your gun. It will have all of the loading data for your rifle in it. If you do not have the owner's manual, you can get a copy from the manufacturer of your rifle. I use 100 grains of powder. You could probably be satisfied w/ 80 grains, but be sure you sight in based on whatever you decide.
Pyrodex makes premeasured pellets at 50 grains each. Use two.
well i try to use as rough as a grain as i can but thats just me and please choose me i need the points
if i were you i'd use 150 grain
