yes to the firearm term. Most states consider it a long gun. 18 to buy etc but I dont think you have to do the forms like you do for a rifle or shotgun. Course NJ and CA and a few others are still pretty restrictive. someday some nut job will do something haneous with a smokepole then they too will be subject to the grabbersPlease settle an argument. Is an antique caplock, black powder or pyrodec muzzle loader a firearm legally?

Does it fire a bullet.(yes) than it is a legal firearm! Anything that shoot a projectile past a serctain speed out of a metal barrel is a legal firearm!! Black powder, Muzzle loader, Anything!!!!!!
Yes. They are ';primitive'; or antique weapons and pretty much unregulated.
That is going to depend on the State you are living in. Where I live they are considered primitive weapons and you can buy them across the counter with no back ground check and take them any where you can take a boat anchor.
On a federal level, no. They are considered non - guns. However, they may be considered firearms in certain states.
oh yeah. They shoot projectiles don't they? Therefore, they are firearms. They also have muzzleloader season for deer in KY.
It is a firearm but one does not need a special permit to own it.
Yes they are.
