CVA 454 black powder Colt army pistol replica?

I bought a kit at Gander Mountain about 20 years ago for $65.00 it was a 6 shot revolver cap and ball black powder pistol. It was a blast to shoot but kicked harder than my .44 Ruger Blackhawk. I traded it for a Mazda pick-up truck thinking I could find another one, but I cant find one now. Does anyone know where I can find one ? I'm sure it's more than $65 bucks now.CVA 454 black powder Colt army pistol replica?
Master Chief, I found a couple of kit pistols for sale in Shotgun News from a couple of gun shops, grab a copy and see if you can find one there. I checked with a supplier I use in Dallas and he said he can order kits it just depends on the model and if its still available. You can check with your local shop and see about a custom order. I found several black powder pistols advertised on Bass Pro and Cabelas websites, most were traditions, but there were a couple of other choices. I didn't see any kits online but I think I saw a couple in the catalog last time I thumbed through it. You might also check with gunbroker and put a want ad on the classifieds at Nosler.com. Hope this gives you a few ideas.CVA 454 black powder Colt army pistol replica?
try dixie gun works, Union city TN...they are online.

dixie sells bp reproduction guns and they sold kits over the years... they are a highly regarded vendor of black powder and precussion era guns and accessories.
You may do a search on Guns America

http://www.gunsamerica.com/

You may also try to google the CVA 454 to see if you can find one somewhere.
I haven't seen a blackpowder revolver kit in years. I don't know if anyone still offers them. Try Dixie Gun Works' website. If anyone has them, Dixie will.
