Original 44 Caliber Remington Black Powder Revolver 1858?

My boyfriend just found his Grandfathers Original 44 Caliber Remington Black Powder Revolver from 1858. It was used in the civil war and he is looking to find a place to sell it. Does any one know of any collectors out there or where to sell it and how much does it go for?Original 44 Caliber Remington Black Powder Revolver 1858?
One possible place to sell a gun like this is on sites such as Gunbroker.com. I would place this gun with a reserve on the auction.

If the gun is not covered with rust, please do yourself a favor and refrain from doing anything to make the gun look better.

Here are a couple of examples:

www.gmartin-auctions.com will be able to sell it for him and get him the best price. They specialize in selling antique and collectable firearms. If it is in good condition, it is a valuable piece.
