theres a tip you can by for your ramrod that has 3 little wire fingers for geting patches out............or dump about 3 grains of FFFF down the nipple and blast it out!!!!!!!!!!I drop a black powder cleaning cloth in my black powder gun how do i get it out?
A word of advice for you. Get all the items you will need to black powder hunt before doing anything. The item you need is called a ';worm'; it screws into the end of your ramrod and has 3 wire prongs on it. When it contacts the cleaning patch you turn the ramrod a couple of times and the wire prongs get tangled in the patch and you can pull it out. If you don't have all the items you need at some point you will be unable to shoot your gun. Like right now.But if your muzzle loader is one of the newer models you can unscrew the breech plug and just use the ramrod to push it out.Good luck!
if you're careful not to scratch the rifling on the barrel, you can use a coat hanger with some painters tape or masking tape on the end maybe.... don't use duct tape because it's too sticky...

or maybe curve the coat hanger to make a hook.

or, they sell those long things that you push a button and they grab onto things with prongs. i really have no way of describing that in detail, and i don't know what their actually called.

if you have one you'd know exactly what i'm talking about because you're kids would be running around trying to stick it in each-other's noses.

other than that, i don't really know...

good luck
Put some chewed gum on the ram rod. If no ram rod, small wooden dowel with gum. Works every time.
Vacuum cleaner might help.

Or maybe blow it out with high pressure.
