Can i make black powder (or something that goes poof equally fast) without sulfur? if so how?

I ran out of sulfur but i wanna make bp for some fireworks for the 4th. anybody know? i have a ball mill aswellCan i make black powder (or something that goes poof equally fast) without sulfur? if so how?
Not black powder, but stuff that goes ';poof'; *MUCH* faster can be made without sulfur. Like nitrogen triiodide, for instance. And picric acid, or virtually any other ';tri-nitro'; compound. Or any perchlorate.

How? Sorry . . . I refuse to be an accomplice toward your own demise. See here:

Lots of 'redox' mixtures will do that, but dry grinding

such things in a ball mill is really begging for trouble.

Do some reading on the subject.

You can learn the easy way
