What Black Powder is better With Sulfur or With out sulfur.?

I want the black power for explosibes what one is better the one with Sulfur or without. What Black Powder is better With Sulfur or With out sulfur.?
well kind of somewhat depends on what type of oxidizer you want to use. since nobody in their right mind, would use sulphur with potassium chlorate. as potassium chlorate and perchlorate, is considered better oxidizer material than either sodium or potassium nitrate. but you realy need to know what your doing when using potassium chlorate. since you have to avoid may substances with sulphur, phosphorus, oil, wax, grease and ammonia. sulphur, sulphates, and sulfites have the nasty habit of trying to become sulphuric acid again. and even a small amount of dilute sulphuric acid, in any chlorate will cause spontaneous explosive combustion of any powder formula with it. phosphorus also has the same nasty habit of wanting to become phosphoric acid. and chlorate mixtures are more shock sensitive than most other powders. and the other items should be avoided because you could end up, with a high explosive rather than a low explosive. as potassium chlorate is used in making some plastic explosives. and ammonia because you could inadvertantly end up with supersensitive, nitrogen trichloride. but a more common practice is to use aluminium or magnesium powder instead of sulfur for the brighter flash.
